Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. When you use Freedomwise, we collect the financial data you enter: assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and goals. We also collect usage signals (which features you use) to improve the product.

What we never do

• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not share your financial data with any financial product provider.
• We do not store bank credentials or account numbers.
• We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

Public data and opt-in

By default, all your data is private. You can voluntarily opt into:

• The public leaderboard — with a display handle of your choice and selective field visibility
• Badge embedding — your Freedom Score visible on your external website
• Story publishing — articles authored by you, subject to admin review

You can revoke any of these opt-ins at any time from account settings.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data (e.g., cohort percentiles used in the peer distribution view) may be retained indefinitely.

Third-party services

We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Razorpay for payment processing, and Vercel for hosting. Each operates under their own privacy policy. We use Google Gemini and other LLM providers for AI features; data sent to these providers is limited to the context of your query and is not used for model training.

DPDP compliance

We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, erase your data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@freedomwise.in.
